A renovation and new carport for a single-family home designed for young professionals, this environmental-first Design-Build project reimagines both structure and sustainability. The challenge was to deliver a minimal but robust carport capable of supporting a green roof with trellised fruiting trees, while also converting the garage into a living space featuring passive heating and a passively cooled root cellar. Key features like the green roof and passive thermal design enhance comfort and performance, reflecting a thoughtful approach to eco-responsible living and modern lifestyle needs.
