This new build infill and Character Merit Retention multiplex project was created for a multigenerational family, complete with revenue generating units, blending contemporary living with respect for the site’s heritage presence. The original heritage home was lifted and shifted over to make way for new structures, with a new foundation for the charaacter building. Novell navigated significant technical challenges, with a mix of old and new structures with LifeTec, steel framing systems and split insulation wall assemblies. The result is a thoughtfully composed home that juxtaposes modern form and heritage sensibility, optimized for diverse household needs and long‑term livability.
